Shaman Drum kicks off their new monthly series Live Performance Fridays. Every month they will have a variety show of sorts at the store with different talented folks visiting to perform music, comedy, skits, puppet shows and much more.

The first event in this series features:

PATRICK ELKINS = a musician, performance artist, and poet who spends a healthy portion of each year touring the United States by Greyhound bus with a small bag of finger puppets and expired fruit products.

CHRIS BATHGATE = formerly of The Ambitious Brothers and local supergroup The Descent of the Holy Ghost Church. He recently simultaneously released three new albums: "Throatsleep", "The Single Road I Long For", and "A Detailed Account of Three Dreams".

THE DREAMLAND PUPPET TROUPE = the result of Naia Venturi's lifelong love of puppetry. Together with Thomas Barton and Misha Grey, Naia and the Dreamland Puppet Troupe (named after the Dreamland Theater, of which Naia is the owner) have amazed audiences with their magical, delightful and surreal puppet shows.
