You're smart. You work hard. And you provide a vital service to your clients. But, how often do you take a step back, examine your foundation, and protect your consulting practice from legal challenges?

Whoever said it's easier to say "I'm sorry" after the fact than it is to square things away beforehand hasn't met PATCA's May 14 guest speaker, Jonathan J. Sweet. Sweet is a practicing litigation and transactional attorney, and he represents small businesses in civil litigation all the time. Make no mistake. It is much easier to avoid getting burned if you can stay out of hot water in the first place.
You will learn important steps that will protect your business and personal assets from legal exposure, such as:

* How to learn more about clients before you start doing business.
* What to do to ensure your company is set up properly for the type of work that you do.
* Clues to understanding the laws that pertain to your business.
* When it is appropriate to use the legal system.
* How to recognize when professional help is needed.
* .... and many more invaluable tips.
