Passion Pit plus Harlem Shakes and Cale Parks May 26, 2009

The insanely catchy sound of indie electro group, Passion Pit, was created after band leader, Michael Angelakos, created a Valentine's Day album for his girlfriend. The musical love letter borrows sonic qualities of MGMT's dance-inducing melodies and Hot Chip's geeky beats. The popularity of the EP, Chunk of Change, led Angelakos to enlist four more musicians for his live band. Passion Pit make colorful and cerebral electronica, combining layers of shrill vocals, warped samples and euphoric effects with a sturdy rhythmic backbone. myspace.com/passionpitjams
