When David LaBua first came by Green Apple to see if we would carry his self-published guide to all things parking in San Francisco, our first reaction was, “Oh, that’s nice.” But in no time, he had a small crowd gathered around him as he answered questions on such arcana as: when is it necessary to curb your wheels? How far away from a parking sign can you be before that sign no longer applies to your car? What recourse is there when one’s car gets towed? Come see David discuss some of the more interesting things he discovered in his research of San Francisco parking law, and bring your questions.

I met David LaBua while parking on Fillmore last week. He was walking down the sidewalk looking at the meters. He schooled me in the art of parking in about 30 seconds. He said wrote a book about parking and was researching the neighborhood's parking patterns. I was impressed with his knowledge, but also with his sense of humor. I bought his book, and am now perhaps his biggest fan. He (literally) walks his talk.
