Park Chalet Hosts a Peace Pedalers Benefit “Welcome Home and Kick Off Party” October 28, 2010

The Park Chalet will host a benefit event on Thursday, October 28 in celebration of the Peace Pedalers’ completion of their international Peace Ride and the kick off of their California Peace Ride. This event will raise money through a suggested donation of $5.00 per person that will be donated to the Good Hope School for AIDS orphans in Uganda which was founded by a former Peace Pedaler guest rider.

This event will begin with a mixer from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. and feature a sneak preview screening of a Peace Pedalers documentary at 8:00 p.m., plus an exhibit of travel photographs which can be viewed all evening. Park Chalet will be serving their $3.00/$6.00/$9.00 happy hour menu including appetizer and drink specials which will be available until the end of the event.

The Peace Peddlers is an organization that was started in the San Francisco Bay Area and focuses on promoting peace, cultural awareness and random acts of kindness by supporting the riding a tandem bicycle across the world and encouraging others to join the ride. This project has thus far been going on for eight years and has involved 1,000 riders in 81 countries. More information can be found at www.peacepedalers.org.
