'Parade' is based on one of the most famous cases in Georgia history, the tragic true story of Leo Frank, a Brooklyn-born Jew living in Atlanta who, in 1913, was accused of killing Mary Phagan, a young girl who worked in the pencil factory that Frank managed. The musical focuses not only on the trial, but also on the efforts of Frank's wife Lucille to clear her husband's name and free him.
