Papa Bear is an acoustic/electric jam band that combines skilled guitar work, groovin' rhythms, and crystal-clear vocals with elements of rock, reggae, funk, folk, jazz, worldbeat, and blues. We play well-crafted original songs with strong lyrics that are often social commentaries on our troubled times, but the music is generally upbeat and highly danceable. In and around these islands of song, Papa Bear conjures an ocean of improvised sound that takes audiences on an unforgettable journey. With a set list totalling 4-5 hours of music (roughly 80% originals) and an easy adaptability to audience moods, Papa Bear is a band equally at home in daytime festivals or late-night club settings. Our professionalism and crowd-pleasing music has earned Papa Bear an overwhelmingly positive response from both fans and club owners.
