Pantene Beautiful Lengths Cutting Party December 10, 2006

WHAT: In the spirit of giving this holiday season, local Minnesota residents are coming together for a “ponytail cutting party” in support of Pantene Beautiful Lengths. Haircuts will be provided free of charge by the Rocco Altobelli Salons to everyone who donates on this day at the party!

Created in partnership with the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF), Pantene Beautiful Lengths is the first campaign that encourages individuals to grow, cut and donate their healthy hair to make free wigs for women who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment.

By giving so selflessly of themselves, these Minnesota residents will be joining 6,000+ people across the country who have already made the kindest cut.

WHO: Brennan Blomgren from St. Paul, Minnesota is rallying support for this program by coordinating Minnesota’s first Pantene Beautiful Lengths Hair Cutting Party! Bren is one of 50 Pantene Beautiful Lengths hometown ambassadors, who are volunteering their time to raise awareness for this cause in their communities. Bren is a high school student and aspiring singer and actor who is eager to share the gift of his hair in support of Pantene Beautiful Lengths. “Teens often feel that there isn't much we can do to make a real impact in the world, but donating our hair is something important that we can all do. I want to encourage other young people to join me in this fight," says Bren. "If donating my hair is something I can do to ease someone's pain, then I am truly happy to do it.”

WHY: Hair donations are made into free real-hair wigs by Pantene Beautiful Lengths campaign partner HairUWear® and are distributed for free to cancer patients through the American Cancer Society’s network of nationwide wig banks.
