Panel: What Is Fair Trade? October 17, 2011

Join Corinne Sikorski of the Ypsi Food Co-op and Doug Wilson of Maggie's Organics for a panel discussion on the meaning of Fair Trade. What's the role of certifying organizations? What kinds of aspects are examined? Is it all about the environment? Workers' Rights? Equal access? Or all of the above? These questions and more will be answered.

In keeping with the YDL's theme for 2011, All Things Green, the Co-op has presented the film "Food, Inc.," as well as "The Pollinator Pyramid" at the library this year. The Ypsi Coop has been "green" from its beginning in 1975. Educating about fair trade is part of our mission to serve the community.
