HULK:

Hulk is a collaboration of two creative minds that share a similar production style and enthusiasm for heavy bass driven music. After meeting at the 2009 Winter Music Conference in Miami, they began to send files back and forth to collaborate on projects in Dubstep, Hip Hop and Electro. Since the inception, Hulk has been catching the eyes and ears of artists such as The Glitch Mob, Dieselboy, Reid Speed, Reso, The GasLamp Killer, High Rankin, iwrestledabearonce and DJ Lord of Public Enemy, among others.

2010 saw Hulk’s first official release, dropping on Reid Speed’s Play Me Records as a Beatport Exclusive. Forthcoming releases on Foulplay, Shift, and Play Me Records are already creating a buzz around the duo. What’s more, the recent launch of their own record label, BroTown Records has the scene begging for the slated releases to drop, featuring tunes by Veelk, Bukez Finezt, Rsk, Lonestar, as well as tunes by Claw, Richie August, and Hulk themselves.

HELICOPTER SHOWDOWN:

Rinsed heavily by Rusko, Reid Speed, SLUGGO, CALVERTRON and more, their Debut EP “The Wrestler” [Ultragore] made home to Beatport’s Dubstep Top 100 Chart with the title single in the Top 10 for 3 weeks.

The next releases “Hostages” [Ultragore] (collab with SLUGGO) and their freely available “Dramatron”, “Beat Down” [Squitty Bubbler], along with the classic "Whistle Tips" [Dubsaw] (collab with Point.blank) have each received similar fanfare and critical acclaim, and have helped them earn the incredible support of the powerful Dubstep blogosphere.

Forthcoming releases on Play Me and Ultragore have these boys primed for bass music domination. Expect to see collaborations with Calvertron, Boy Kid Cloud, Mark Instinct, SLUGGO, Hulk, and others as well as an original EP and more free releases =)

SUBLO:

Seattle native Jerel Bromley aka Sublo began his musical career training and performing classically on double bass for a decade. An ear for bass and dense melodic compositions lead to an obsession with dance music. Influenced heavily by the global dub culture, Sublo has spent countless hours crafting a unique and heavy sound which chooses to emulate little and resonate large. Signed first to Shift recordings in 2009, Sublo has become a key producer in the west coast bass movement, quickly signing onto Shift Recordings, Phantom Hz, Gradient Audio, and Hot N Heavy Recordings. A heavy DJ rotation has kept Sublo busy outside of the studio, opening for acts such as Rusko, Joker, Emalkay, DZ, and holding down residencies for Ritual and Redline crews in San Francisco. A keen sense of sound design and addictive melodies are the only expectation; the sound of Sublo has become defined by grimey keys and slapping percussion with a heavy sub bass that is sure to smash any dance.

COMMODORE 69:

Commodore 69 (Hot N Heavy, SF) aka dj NITSUJ (360 BPM, Sea) has been rinsing it out on the turntables at clubs and parties, playing a wide variety of styles of dance music since 1994. Getting his start in Seattle as dj Nitsuj he played all styles of drum and bass and is one of the founding members of the 360 BPM d&b crew circa 1996. He has been a resident at the longest running D&b night in Seattle history at the Legendary "Baltic Room Tuesday's" d&b since 1998 and has opened for: Goldie, Groove Rider, Fabio, Andy C, Dillinja, Photek, Lemon D, Ed Rush & Optical, Total Science, dj SS, Bad Co. UK, J Majik, Krust, Roni Size, dj Die, Mampi Swift, Usual Suspects, Future Cut, Bailey, Kenny Ken, Tech Itch, Ink, Loxy, Digital and Spirit to name a few. Moving to San Francisco in 2005 he started playing electro/heavy bass music and in 2007 began production as Commodore 69 then in 2009 started Hot N Heavy Recordings.
With releases on Formation Records, Badman Press/Digital, Sub Philo Music and more forthcoming on his own Hot N Heavy label, Commodore 69 is in perpetual motion.

THE GLITCH REPORT:

The Glitch Report is a weekly 2 hour bass-oriented electronic radio show broadcasting from the mountains of Northern California. It's created by Seth Burns & Co-hosted by Shiloh Jacobsen.

DJ's Seth Burns and Shiloh Jacobsen are veterans of the Northern Californian underground metal scene (Blood Gnome / Necrolytic), The high energy grindcore performances they were known for back then easily translate into their DJ sets now. Thrashing assaults of heavy bass and hard dance rhythms make you almost forget they used to speed pick for the darkside...

SUPPLYING DEMAND

DJ's On The Spot and Sampson...
On The Spot is a professional chef during the day, whomp slayer at night he has been making music in the kitchen and on the 1's and 2's for some time now, and is ready to share his opinion of whats tastes good with all his family. A San Francisco local who is surrounded and supported by some of the top talent in the area and defiantly has a platform to succeed. His keen ear for better music keeps him searching for the newest and least played out jamz circulating. He plays music in the Swompstep, West Coast Bass, DubWoofer genres and is always ready to bring the heat and passion at ever show.

Sampson has a heavy background in the Reggae and Hip Hop scene in the late 90s down in LA. Then he took his talents southbound to San Diego where he was serving wobble tacos to anyone willing to take a bite. Finally his journey has taken him “home” to San Francisco, where he has only been here for a couple short months and is all ready getting support from the locals. His quest for perfection has led him to pure execution on stage. He brings LA swagger mixed with SF slime produces drugstep and ketamusic slumpage.

NEBAKANEZA:

Nebakaneza is nuts! I think he is certifiably insane, but he seems to find his therapy by slamming Dubstep through the speakers. Don't be surprised if he interacts with the crowd and throws random things at you in the name of fun and mayhem. He has an eerie yet sexy style that covers many aspects of Dubstep from the face melting wobbles, to the strip your clothes off sultry sounds. He is a DJ that likes to use his mixer and turntables as instruments, so you will see him playing with the music like a DJ should. He looks scary, but is a friendly soul. Don't be afraid to run up to him during a set and show him some love. He may just give you a bear hug and show you love back.

The name comes from King Nebuchadnezzar II who was an evil ruler of ancient Babylon, and who built the Hanging Gardens. Eventually he was exiled and spent 7 years in the wilderness wandering the land like a beast. There are many rumors about the mask, no one knows the truth.

EIGHTYSEVEN:

Born and raised in California, now living in San Francisco, EightySeven has more than a deep appreciation for music of all sorts - it's a passion. When DJ'ing his heart lies in drum 'n bass, dubstep, drumstep, hard electro-house and 70-80's disco; but he will definitely throw in lots of different elements and styles in his sets. EightySeven is currently working on all sorts of different projects, including electro, dubstep, and drumstep with some hush-hush names. His influences are vast, but include styles and sounds similar to Boys Noize, Justice, Noisia, and Tchaikovsky - these sounds blend with his love for pumping the dancefloor and classical piano composition, no matter what he's producing / DJ'ing. If you see him spinning be ready to have your face fucking melted.
