Pamela Z - internationally-known vocalist ponders the 'ever-changing collection of objects' that accompany her on tour.

She asks: "When you go on a trip, what do you pack? How many pairs of socks and underwear do you take? What defines your personal sense of belonging, of place?"

Pamela Z poses these questions in the world premiere of BAGGAGE ALLOWANCE, a multi-media concert about 'baggage' as impediment and 'baggage' as treasure.

Based on her multi-media exhibition at the Krannert Gallery (Champaign, IL), Pamela Z built a large-scale performance work for the Project Artaud stage. The stage is laden with images from multiple channels of video and Z's vocals are electronically processed and tracked via interactive performance software (Max MSP and Isadora).

Performance dates are May 20-23; Thurs. - Sat. @ 8pm, Sun. @ 3pm.
