PAM HOUSTON talks about SIGHT HOUND, an exceptional love story involving an enlightened three-legged dog, a younger, more playful four-legged one, a brazenly tough cat, and the very tenacious but baffled humans in their lives who learn, though not without a few mistakes, from their wisdom. SIGHT HOUND explores love in all its forms, from the deep emotional love a person has for a fellow human being to the equally important and special love they share with the animal kingdom. Director of the Creative Writing Program at UC Davis, and the author of the much-loved short story collections Cowboys are My Weakness and Waltzing the Cat as well as the essay collection A Little More About Me, Pam Houston lovingly demonstrates that while animals of two different species may not be able to speak in the same language, they nevertheless can connect on a spiritual level and learn to love and see things in each other that don't necessarily need to be spoken.
