Shaiol Choyal - Painter, printmaker, teacher and a muralist Shail Choyal is popularly known for his nostalgic art in India. Having completed his master's degree in painting from Udaipur he went to study Graphics (printmaking) at the Slade College, London and after return to homeland did his Doctoral thesis on 'Nathdwara Painting'. Shail Choyal has taught art at the University of Udaipur for about 30 years. Recipient of 22 prestigious awards in various exhibitions, Shail has participated in innumerable distinct prestigious exhibitions in India and abroad and has held his one person shows in different cities of England France, Latvia, Germany, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, Japan and Indonesia. Shail Choyal has extensively traveled to east and western European countries, USSR Japan and Southeast Asia. Shail Choyal has been known as an art camp organizer and has convened around 16 art camps/ workshops of professional artists in the city of Udaipur.
