Paintings by Dipankar Ray. Born in 1971, Dipankar graduated from the Government College of Art and Craft, Kolkata and has a post-graduate degree from Rabindra Bharati University, Kolkata, getting a first class both times. He has won several awards all over India and the Junior Fellowship from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Culture, Government of India in 1998-2000. He held a solo exhibition at the Academy of Fine Arts , Kolkata in 2005 and has taken part in group shows in many galleries including All India Fine Arts & Craft Society (AIFACS), Domus Art Gallery, New Delhi, Right Lines Art Gallery, Bangalore, Easel Art Gallery, Chennai, Academy of Fine Arts, Birla Academy of Art and Culture, Chemould Art Gallery, Kolkata and Karnataka Chitrakala Parishad, Bangalore. Dipankar's paintings are in several collections in India and abroad. He lives and works in Kolkata.
