Painting by M.A. Arivu & A. Arul Oli. M.A. Arivu - was born on 6th November'67. As a young boy and a distinguished student of renowned portrait painter Mr.Maruthi, he won many awards at the state level drawing competitions. He also persuaded a diploma course in co-operative administration in Kanchipuram. In 1987 he joined a Bombay advertising company and with enough experience he started his own full-fledged creative design unit called 'The Graphic Design Shop.' Amidst his busy schedule he paints. Generally, his work is based on realism & the beauty of nature. He uses oil and acrylic colours but is more inclined to water colours. He has done many shows in chennai and Hyderabad. A. Arul Oli - was born on 6th Dec'72 and is a self-taught artist. He tries to focus on translating his poems into paintings. He has also tried to bring the rural art form into modern paintings. He also paints on terracotta horses, Ayyanar statues and carvings on doors. Recently, he has moved into abstraction. He manipulates the space with form and colours. He tries to show depth between different floating forms by drawing lines between one layer and the other. He uses mostly oil and acrylic colours. He has also done many shows in Chennai.
