Taberna del Alabardero invites Washingtonians to experience one of Spain’s most beloved culinary traditions during its annual Paella Festival the entire month of September. Capturing traditional flavors from different regions throughout Spain, the Paella Festival will feature a variety of paella dishes specially created by Executive Chef Santi Zabaleta, including Chef Zabaleta’s personal favorite, Bacalao (dried salted cod) Paella with Fresh Peas, and Hearty Chicken and Mushroom Casserole, which is typical of General Manager Paco Pena’s home town of Córdoba. Paella is one of Spain’s most popular dishes and is recognized as the country’s national dish.

Taberna will be giving guests, throughout the Paella Festival, a special gift of recipes of all the paella dishes featured on the menu. In addition, they will be shipping in paella ingredients and tools from Spain for guests to purchase, including paella pans, paprika, saffron and more that will be available at the restaurant.

Taberna's Paella Festival is offered for lunch at $22.00 and for dinner at $26.00 per person, with a $6.00 supplemental charge for the Seafood and Lobster Paella, Bacalao Paella with Fresh Peas, and Paella with Rabbit, Clams and Prawn. There is a minimum of two people per order. For reservations please call 202.429.2200.
