Over the years, a number of ensembles have undertaken to perform the crowning achievement of chamber music, the complete string quartets of Beethoven. In this unprecedented series, the entire cycle is performed by not one ensemble, but an international mix of six different quartets, beginning with the ensemble from the United States, the Pacifica Quartet.
