Record Release Party for Pacha Massive

Pacha Massive::
Winners of the LAMC battle of the bands 2005 PACHA (from Pachamama, meaning 'mother earth') sends ripples through out the new global electro scene. Exposed from birth to the pulse of Palo, Son, Cumbia, Reggae and the whole gamma of the Afro-New World tradition, Pacha concoct a positively charged blend of high-energy Latin grooves that combine Colombian cumbia, Afro-Cuban son, Jamaican reggae-dancehall and all manner of breakbeats, dub and drum-and-bass rhythms.

Nortec Collective::
These musicians create and perform a style of music called Nortec - a fusion of Norteño ("from the North") and Techno, documenting the collision between the style and culture of electronica and traditional Mexican music.

Nortec Collective is convergence of high-tech and low-tech, of North and South, of all things techno with all things norteño, of all the things that are a part of the rural and urban. The sound of the Nortec Collective is the sound of the First World in the Third and the Third World in the First.
