Pablo "Mezcla" Menendez direct from Havana joined by Cuban Jazz All Stars January 28, 2009

The music of Pablo Menéndez is as unique on the Cuban landscape as the man himself. The fact that he is a United States citizen living in Cuba for over 40 years has deeply influenced his musical choices, which have in turn influenced many young Cuban musicians.

Leader of the Cuban Jazz Septet MEZCLA, Menéndez has assembled an all-star lineup for this date only made up of Cuban musicians currently residing in the US: Osmany Paredes (piano), Jorge "Sawa" Perez (bass), Jesus Diaz (congas) and Raul Pineda (drums) as well as Bay Area great, Melecio Magdaleyo (sax, flute).
