Written and illustrated by Peter V. Fritsch, a seventh-generation Pennsylvania Dutchman, this beautiful book, Pennsylvania Dutch Halloween Scherenschnitte, illustrates the elaborate style of "scissors cutting" with a Halloween theme.

The illustrations are accompanied by original poetry in the native dialect, with an English translation. Fritsch, who has practiced the art of scherenshnitte for over four decades, will be demonstrating the tradition and signing his book at Moravian Book Shop on Saturday, October 15, from 1-3pm.
