Ozumo Oakland Presents: Meet the Brewer with Philip Harper of Kinoshita Shuzo July 13, 2011

On Wednesday, July 13, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., share an evening with master brewer Philip Harper, an American and the maker of Tamagawa sake in Kyoto, Japan. After 18 years of honing his skills, Harper was awarded a gold medal for his entry in the 2009 Japan National Sake Appraisal. This is the only time that this honor has been bestowed on a foreigner.

Ozumo Oakland Executive Chef Yo Matsuzaki will serve an assortment of small plates, sushi and other snacks to accompany Harper’s sakes.
