One year on from its debut at Oxfringe '07, the open mic session at St Aldate's Tavern returns.

All-comers are welcomed. Bring your stuff, be it stories, poetry, kazoos or something hilarious and unmentionable involving a banana and a tin of beans, to read for a few minutes each. The Magic Hooter will know when your time is up. The Magic Hooter knows all.

This year acoustic duo Mew & Wooster will provide melodious interludes, and attempt to cover up any embarrassing silences with the musical equivalent of polite coughs.
