The geek nights are a way for local web developers, designers, programmers, neophiles or geeks of any other stripe to get together, chat, drink and listen to talks on new technologies and innovations.

Note the change of day-of-week: OGN6 will be on a Tuesday, owing to venue availability.

OGN6 has some great speakers lined up. Our two keynote talks will be:

* Science and Computer Games: Turning hard data into fun games, by Gobion Rowlands, founder and communications director, Red Redemption Ltd.

* From Design to Deployment, by Jon Hicks, partner at Hicksdesign, fresh from FOWD

Along with these we'll be having half a dozen microslot talks. These are five-minute talks that anyone can volunteer to make. They can be on your pet project, an event you're organizing, or an idea you've had about anything that might concern fellow geeks.

Currently we have the following microslots confirmed:

* Mashups for the Common Man, by Viral Tarpara
* Barcamp Oxford, by Pete Cooper and Daniel Lewis
* One Laptop Per Archaeologist, by Joseph Reeves
* The eLearning Agenda - whats happening? by Matt Harris
* Building a custom CRM system, by Edward Kay
* Open Data Definition, by Marcus Povey

(OGN6 is a FREE event, kindly sponsored by Torchbox, Google and Moo.)
