Torchbox presents: Oxford Geek Nights. These are opportunities for web developers and designers in the local area to get together, share their skills and talk about new ideas, techniques and technologies.

Each OGN consists of two keynote talks of 15 minutes each. There are also frenetic bursts of socialising, sometimes adverts for other local groups, but always interspersed with two sets of 5-minute-long microslot sessions.

= Free drinks, sponsored by Historic Futures =

Historic Futures are a local company that have developed innovative web solutions to trace products in international supply chains. They're also sponsoring OGN20 drinks, so thanks very much to them for that!

= Keynotes =

Keynote speakers are invited to talk at Oxford Geek Nights. OGN20 will feature:

* SPACE! by Chris Govias, Andrew Godwin and the rest of /dev/fort cohort 5
* Mobile App Development: an F1 case study by Alex Powell, COO of Soft Pauer

= Microslots =

These are five-minute "lightning" talks that anyone can volunteer for. They're easy to do: pick something that excites you, or a project you've worked on that you think might be of interest; then talk to a friendly audience for just five minutes with a handful of slides.

Currently confirmed microslots are:

* Spicing up your web life, by Alun Rowe
* Pie charts: good or evil? by Andy Cotgreave
* Transparent swimwear, by Simon Crossley
* HTML5 Audio: revenge of the MIDI files, by Matthew Westcott

= The Pitch =

The Pitch is our open-mic 60-second slot, where you can make commercial announcements, advertise services or vacancies, say hello or mention a local event or meeting.

You can book Pitch slots on the night, but space is limited so contact me via jp.stacey at GMail or @jpstacey on Twitter.

(Oxford Geek Nights are FREE events, thanks to our regular sponsor Torchbox.)
