Our summer concert reveals the riches of the English choral tradition. Two of Parry's great Songs of Farewell and Vaughan Williams' moving motet Valiant-for-Truth are joined by Elgar's charming choral suite From the Bavarian Highlands. We are also proud to present a performance of Sir Peter Maxwell Davies' new work The Kestrel Road, which the Oxford Bach Choir helped to commission. Allongside them we sing a motet by Bach, a composer especially revered by Parry and Vaughan Williams.
