All are welcome to attend the Overground Spring Gala 2009 on the 6th floor of the Sunsphere at 6:30p. We will be honoring all new KO members, KO sponsors, and our relatively new coalition of professional organizations that we serve and hope to help thrive in the future.

KO members, friends of KO, as well as members of the Knoxville Chamber pay $20 for a night of delicious cocktails, mingling with new and old friends, inspirational speeches from local celebrity entrepreneurs, and the chance to experience one of the best 360° degree views of downtown Knoxville, anywhere. The general public is also welcome to attend for $25. All proceeds to go benefit the nonprofit organization Knoxville Overground (KO).

Knoxville Overground (KO) is a relatively new grassroots-driven nonprofit that promotes and executes a variety of economic development initiatives that support local entrepreneurs and self-employed professionals. Our latest accomplishment was the launch of an entrepreneur community center and coworking workspace in Sequoyah Hills where self-employed professionals and entrepreneurs can work for free with a KO membership of $49 a year. We've been recently featured in WBIR TV-10, WATE TV-6, The Greater Knoxville Business Journal, The Knoxville News-Sentinel, Knoxville magazine, Metro Pulse, and through several blogs, radio programs, and local events.

Previous events we've hosted have attracted anywhere from 100+ guests whom represent MBAs, lawyers, corporate executives, entrepreneurs, green economy advocates, self-employed professionals, inventors, investors, economic development officials, as well as the local Press. In particular, we expect this event to be a lot like the First Annual Knoxville Overground Startup Awards held during Global Entrepreneurship Week last November 2008.

For more information please search for Knoxville Overground on facebook and RSVP or just reply to this post!
