Our Learning Circle: Learning about our Orishas & Our Religious Traditions June 28, 2009

Our goal is to provide a forum where we can learn about our Orishas and the Yoruba based traditions which guide us.

By choosing to lead our lives in this tradition, we must also accept the challenge to educate ourselves about our rich and complex culture. Only through knowledge and respect, can we keep our rich tradition alive!

In order for our religious traditions to survive and flourish, we must address the education of our initiates. Throughout our history, we have relied upon our elders to transfer our rituals, traditions and values to our new initiates. Let us establish an agenda on how to continue our rich traditions.
