Our Birthday -Your Bash. 7-Eleven Day - Come have a Slurpee on Us! July 11, 2011

To commemorate 7-Eleven, Inc.’s 84th birthday on July 11, aka 7-Eleven Day, participating 7-Eleven stores in the Chicago area and across the nation will celebrate by giving customers a free 7.11-ounce Slurpee® beverage.

With the theme “Our Birthday – Your Bash,” participating 7-Eleven stores will thank customers for their patronage and support by offering a free Slurpee in a cup specially designed for this day while supplies last.

In Chicago, Slurpee fans can go to the store at 45 E. Chicago Ave., Chicago from 11 am - 2 pm for a special celebration that includes WBBM-FM (B96) radio on site from 12-2 pm, a variety of prize-winning games, food samples, and, of course, free Slurpees.

7-Eleven, the world’s premier convenience retailer, has been giving away free Slurpees since the company’s 75th birthday in 2002. The Slurpee’s been around since 1967 and the frozen carbonated beverage was named for the straw’s slurping sound.
