Other "French" Loves July 8, 2011

As part of the MFA’s annual French Film Festival, we’re introducing a component of experimental video art in addition to the narrative films on view at the MFA from July 7 to 24.
Friendship, the arts, and pertinence to a global community come to the forefront in this selection of videos by French-born artists. Their work crosses the thin divide between film and contemporary art, rejecting cinematic tropes and linear narrative. Featured artists include Valérie Mréjen, Kader Attia, Cyprien Gaillard, Neil Beloufa, Elisa Pône, Clément Cogitore and Orlan Roy.
