Otep got its start in 2000, when singer/band namesake Otep combined her Marilyn Manson-meets-Kim Gordon style of vocals with three other musicians in Los Angeles. Rumors of involvement in the mystical arts helped create a mysterious image, and they found success in 2002 after joining the Ozzfest Tour. Bloodsimple is comprised of members of Vision of Disorder and Downset. Hellyeah is a metal supergroup featuring members of Pantera, Mudvayne, Nothingface and Damageplan.
