Osvaldo Golijov and Dawn Upshaw Young Artists Concert May 9, 2009

This Professional Training Workshop, in partnership with The Bard College Conservatory of Music, commissioned eight young composers to write new vocal works for 18 singers participating in two culminating performances on May 9 and 10. Throughout the workshop, composer Osvaldo Golijov and soprano Dawn Upshaw mentored these young composers and singers through the collaborative compositional process, from conception of the newly commissioned works in October 2008 to the premiere performances this May.
