Oscar D'Leon (Oscar Emilio Leon Samoza), known as "El Leon de la Salsa," is possibly the most recognized Venezuelan artist outside his own country. He is a sonero, bassist, bandleader, composer, arranger and an exceptional live performer. Oscar Oscar de Leon has recorded more than 50 albums, including several Gold Records and has received numerous awards and honors.
