Join us to celebrate the fall harvest, and commemorate our ancestors "camping out" as they wandered in the desert. At Sukkot it's traditional to build a temporary structure in the backyard, called a sukkah. We decorate it with branches, hanging ornaments, paper chains, gourds, and strings of lights, and eat and even sleep in it. We'll gather in JGate's sukkah, then share Shabbat dinner, eat, laugh, and learn. All are welcome. Space is limited, so RSVP IS REQUIRED. We'll ask you to bring a dish to share or contribute $7 towards dinner. Please join us under the branches at JGate's cozy home near El Cerrito Plaza and BART station

After gathering at 6:15, we'll continue with:

6:30 - Candle lighting and dinner
7:30 - Rabbi Bridget leads a lively discussion about this fun and often-overlooked holiday
8:15 - Dessert and schmoozing (time to hang out and chat)

To RSVP, please contact Rabbi Bridget Wynne at JGate, (510) 559-8140, or [email protected]
