An ASP NorCal 10-year Anniversary Celebration!

Join us for lunch or online webinar to celebrate ASP NorCal's 10-year Anniversary and hear award-winning author Jim Kouzes' research-based findings on the key strategy challenge leaders face every day: gaining and sustaining the level of engagement necessary for effective and extraordinary action.

What organizes the effort and energy of people to get strategically critical work done? And just how can leaders:

* Mobilize others to want to put in the discretionary effort needed to turn grand plans into meaningful realities?
* Increase commitment, especially in uncertain times when there seems to be one disruption after another?
* Make extraordinary things happen?

In conversation with ASP members and friends, Jim will answer these and other questions vital to the success of leaders and to the effective execution of organizational strategies. Jim and his coauthor, Barry Posner, have a unique perspective and new research on what is reality and what is myth in leadership studies - they've been researching the practices of exemplary leaders for over 30 years. They have recently released the fifth edition of their groundbreaking and bestselling book, "The Leadership Challenge," which has sold over 2 million copies and is one of the 100 best business books. Marshall Goldsmith, award winning author and executive coach, says that "this is the greatest book on leadership ever written." You will learn why when Jim discusses relevant findings on how leaders make extraordinary things happen and specifically applies this to effecting strategy.

After Jim's dialogue, ASP NorCal will recognize the people who have contributed to our 10 year history and almost 100 programs. All present will be entered into a drawing for at least one COMPLIMENTARY ONE-YEAR ASP MEMBERSHIP (must be present to win).
