Title : Organisational Branding

Misconceptions about branding often prevent organisations from taking steps to differentiate their service from competitors and to build affinity and loyalty within a solid support base. This seminar will look at how effective branding can act as a powerful guide for organisational growth and how the attributes of the organisation might become the focus of the entire business model building cohesion internally, aligning the sales, marketing and culture of the organisation behind a clear set of values.

Diana Ruano has a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from Stanford University and a Masters in Conflict Resolution from the Open University in Barcelona. She has worked on new market entry studies for several NGOs in the Spanish market, branding and market positioning of NGOs and capital campaigns for Spanish cultural institutions. This seminar will look at how effective branding can act as a powerful guide for organisational growth.

Speaker 2: Gillian Buckley
C.E.O., Western Development Commission

Gillian Buckley is the Chief Executive of the Western Development Commission (WDC). The WDC is a statutory body which fosters and promotes economic and social development in the Western Region of Ireland. Prior to taking up the CEO position Gillian was the WDC’s Investment Manger, responsible for a €34 million seed and venture capital fund. She previously worked as an advisor to business and as General Manager of a high potential start-up. She is a graduate of the University of Limerick with a BBS in Marketing and Financial Services and the ACCA. She serves on a number of boards and advisory committees.
