Organic, Local Food and Wine Pairing

At the Mercury Café


On Friday, December 19 at 7:30 p.m., to celebrate the Solstice, The Mercury Café will host a five course organic, local food and wine pairing dinner. We will be showcasing New Mexico Gruet Champagne, Jack Rabbit Hill Winery, of grand Mesa Colorado and Peak Spirits brandy, also of Grand Mesa. The Entrée choices are Elk or Lamb, striped Bass and vegetarian or vegan Chile Relleno. Dinner is $45.00 per person tax and gratuity is not included. Chef Marilyn Megenity will be presenting origin information with each course. Dinner will be accompanied by piano, violin and cello of “Local Color”.


The Mercury is proud of its long standing relationships with Colorado’s organic farmers and ranchers, serving grass fed Colorado lamb and elk, organic Colorado trout and striped bass along with a broad selection of vegetarian and gluten-free dishes. All the breads and pastries served at the Merc are made using whole grains, natural sweeteners and cold pressed oils.
