Organic farming visionary Will Allen at Briggs Carriage Bookstore February 21, 2008

An organic farming visionary, activist, and entrepreneur, Will Allen understands first-hand the complexities of farming, and the impact of commercialization. His book, The War on Bugs, reveals how advertisers, editors, scientists, large scale farmers, and government agencies colluded to convince farmers to use deadly chemicals, hormones, and genetically modified organisms to increase profits and control the American farm enterprise. Allen describes how consumers and activists have struggled against toxic food, and asserts that now is the time to stop poisoning our food, water, the air, and ourselves.
