O'Reilly's 8th Annual Oyster and Beer Festival May 19, 2007

The 8th Annual San Francisco Oyster & Beer Festival returns this year to the Great Meadows at Fort Mason, San Francisco on Saturday May 19th, 2007. This event is the largest Celtic festival on the West Coast drawing over 15,000 people to the park in 2006.

The event centers around the unique combination of oysters and stout and is supported by a great cast of traditional and contemporary live Irish music.

A wide variety of other beverages will also be available, ranging from beers and wines to Irish coffees. Though oysters are the main theme of the festival we will again be featuring booths offering alternative choices of cuisine.

We will as ever present a fantastic line up of music at this years event. We will also feature the annual appearance of The Whelan Academy of Irish Dance.

As with other years we will have a number of very interesting sideshows, the Shuck and Suck Competition, Long Puck Competitions, tilters and cooking demostrations. A play area will be set aside for children.
