This is a magical story about the power of stories themselves, brought to the stage in a tapestry of color and light. Nassrin is a young girl in modern Iran whose father has just been arrested for smuggling banned books. To ease Nassrin's fears, her mother begins to tell a story, one as ancient as time. Concurrently, Bahad, an orphan boy from a thousand years past, listens as a wandering storyteller narrates the same tale. The two worlds, separated by the ages, intertwine as Nassrin and Bahad step into the story and meet a poor twig-gatherer, a spoiled princess, and the mysterious and powerful Mushkil Gusha—the Remover of Obstacles.
Join Nassrin and Bahad, two children learning the universal values of kindness and generosity through ancient tales from their rich Persian culture. Lyrical and magical, this play will bring you hope.
