Oral History Workshop

The Veterans History Project of the Library of Congress’s American Folklife Center collects and preserves the remembrances of American war veterans. This free oral history workshop will give you a chance to work with experts from the Veterans History Project and learn methods and techniques for collecting and preserving the stories of veterans from your family and community. See a sample interview and learn experts’ top tips, from the kind of equipment you’ll need to the right questions to ask. This workshop is great for families, groups, and Scout troops that want to capture their own stories or for teachers looking to bring oral history into the classroom. No RSVP required. (Suitable for all ages) FREE
