Opinion: Susan Tibbles October 14, 2006

Over the past six years, Susan Tibbles has produced a series of assemblages designed to appear in two-dimensional photographic reproduction of the Op-Ed pages of the Los Angeles Times. The exhibition will show her original assemblages next to the published Los Angeles Times version. This body of work, which now resides in the collection of Geoffrey Le Plastrier, explores current political issues and events beginning with the Bush/Gore presidential race of 2000. The exhibition was organized by the Riverside Art Museum and includes a fully illustrated catalogue. There will be an opening reception on Saturday, October 14, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Leband Art Gallery's hours are Wednesday-Sunday, Noon-4 p.m. and by appointment.
