Little Bulb Theatre present Operation Greenfield at the Rose Theatre. Opportunity rocks in this musical comedy about friendship, faith and having the 'X factor'!

Tickets £9.00 / £7.00 concessions.

Teenage dreams are made, shattered and reborn in Operation Greenfield, an eccentric and exuberant musical about friendship, faith and having the  ‘X Factor’.

A  group of geeky kids is preparing for judgment day with ladders, masks and Forest Fruits squash - Stokely's annual talent contest is looming, tensions are running high and teenage hormones are threatening to take over.

As the four Christian rock-singing friends get ready to take Stokely by storm with their chaotic retelling of the annunciation (featuring Elvis and Ziggy Stardust, naturally), it becomes clear that it's not just their musical prowess that is being put to the test.

Operation Greenfield takes the audience back to that unique and confusing time of adolescence when the once simple beliefs you held dear need re-adjusting to face the complexities of adulthood.

Beautifully performed by an ensemble cast who are fantastic musicians as well as fine comedy actors, the show perfectly captures that awkward period when everything seems to be changing and the smallest things take on monumental importance. Friendships have an intensity that is never recaptured in later years and the feeling of standing on the precipice of something dangerous and thrilling is never far away.

Operation Greenfield is a bizarre and visually fantastical musical comedy that shows that Britain really has got talent.

Little Bulb Theatre are Fringe First & Total Theatre Award Winners.

"Their musicianship is superb, and their ability to conjure the pains of youth uncanny. Recklessly talented...insanely brave" **** Lyn Gardner, The Guardian
