Opening Weekend Lecture: Dali, the Late Work August 7, 2010

Elliott King will discuss the legacy of Salvador Dali and his significant contributions to twentieth century art. Specifically, King will address the significance of revisiting Dali’s mature style, his reinvention as a “classicist,” his explorations into 1950s ‘nuclear mysticism,’ as well as Dali’s enduring interest in science, optical effects, and illusionism.
