The ARTery Project is an arts activation and urban celebration initiative aimed at revitalizing the once-vibrant commercial corridor along Market Street between 6th and 8th streets. Activities have included Lights on Market Street, Art in Storefronts, Market Street Blooms, art exhibits at Central City Hospitality House Community Arts Program, Gray Area Foundation for the Arts, and the luggage store, and San Francisco Arts Market at U.N. Plaza. This photography exhibit highlights these activities and others that have brought renewed interest and activity to the Central Market neighborhood.

The exhibit features photographs from San Francisco Arts Commission's 2011 photography interns Roxanne Quezada Chartouni, Lydia Gonzales, Michele Kraus, Renee Power, Monica Roy, Vivian Truong, and Ian Wang.

Join the San Francisco Arts Commission and Supervisor Jane Kim for the opening reception on Friday, September 23, 2011 5-7 p.m. The photo exhibit will be on view at Supervisor Kim's City Hall office from September 23 to November 15 during normal business hours, Monday through Friday.
