Studio 3579’s art gallery series continues, with an all new show of work from local artists Sandra Wang and Crockett Bodelson, just in time for the holidays!

Come check out the latest women’s fashions from Saffron Rare Threads, menswear by Indie Industries, housewares and handbags perfect for holiday gifts, and the launch Joy O’s brand new line of sustainable designer jewelry – Kyler by Joy O!

This event will be catered by Lilah Belles, our favorite local maker of delicious organic snacks. We will also be serving fantastic drinks like white wine sangria at our party on November 21, from 6-9 PM.

About Sandra and Crockett:

S.C.U.B.A. is Sandra and Crockett United Business of Art, a collaborative artist duo based in San Francisco. This couple shares a traveling lifestyle that provides inspiration and momentum for the creation of hundreds of small paintings each year. They recently exhibited in Barcelona and London during the 2009 London Design Festival. In between shows, they use art to interact with the local community by displaying mini works as a sidewalk installation on Hayes Street. Their next destination abroad is Tel Aviv in Spring 2010.

“Sometimes the paintings are of the world we see in our heads. Other times they're about things that exist in this world. It is important to paint as much as possible so that we can become more and more familiar with both worlds. In this way, a painting is always a window and, sometimes, actually a painting of a window. Each painting presents a puzzle that we pass back and forth to each other. This exchange becomes a visual story for the viewer. There is usually not enough time to solve all the puzzles, but when there is you can make a lot of good paintings.” – S.C.U.B.A.
