Gather, meet and join members in tea and light refreshments – 11:00-11:15 a.m.

A Senior Practitioner will introduce the Shambhala Vision at 11:15 a.m.

Questions and Answers, Open Discussion – until 1:00 p.m.

The Shambhala tradition believes in the inherent wisdom, compassion, and courage of all beings. It holds that these noble qualities are ultimately more stable than aggression and greed. It shows how to use worldly life as a means to ripen this spiritual potential. It practices turning the mind toward others as a discipline that creates lungta, windhorse, the ability to attain success that occurs from acting virtuously (The Sakyong, Jamgon Mipham Rinpoche, http://www.mipham.com/sakyong.php) .

The open house will include a couple of short videos on Shambhala and meditation instruction given by the Sakyong. We ask that as many members as possible attend to help answer questions and interact with those who come to find out about our Center.
