Open Circle for Midsummer by Covenant of Brighidshaven June 23, 2007

This is the official announcement and invitation to the next open circle event to be hosted by the Covenant of Brighidshaven. Our open circle for Midsummer/Litha will be held on Saturday, June 23rd, at Shelter 2 on Presque Isle State Park.

Join us for our all day picnic affair, including an elemental celebration of joy and unity and the height of summer time! We'll gather around 2pm at Shelter 2, spend some time with picnic snacks and enjoying the park, then start the rite around 4pm. Potluck picnic feasting to follow, please bring a dish to pass! We'll be firing up the grill and have burgers and hot-dogs will all the fixings on hand.

The Presque Isle shelters are located near beach six and the cookhouse. Take the left turn-off shortly after the Ranger Station and turn onto the side road immediately to the right after that turn, following the signs for Shelters 1, 2, 3.

In addition to the picnic fun, we'll be selling raffle tickets and holding a ticket auction to help raise funds for this year's annual Pagan Pride Day. Bring some bucks, score some great loot, and help us have a bigger, better PPD than ever!

What: Open Circle for Midsummer
When: Saturday, June 23rd
What time: 2pm to sundown, rite around 4pm
What to wear: bright colors and possibly sunscreen
What to bring: a dish to pass at the potluck feast, sunscreen/bug-spray as appropriate, light layers in case it cools off, swimming gear in case it heats up!

Please note that a $3 donation is requested to help defray the cost of renting the space.

What?! No July event?! That's right, folks, we're outta town for the month of July. Well, not the whole month, but from 7/16 through 7/22 many of us in Brighidshaven will be camping out, leading workshops, and dancing around the biggest of bonfires at Sirius Rising, an excellent week-long festival held at the Brushwood Folklore center.
