One Size Fits All: Artists’ T-Shirt Summer Blow Out! July 29, 2006

Printed Matter Inc. is pleased to announce our first annual T-Shirt Summer Blow Out! which will take place on Saturday, July 29th from 12:00 – 7:00 PM—with a party featuring a raffle and house DJs beginning at 4:00 PM. Printed Matter is located at 195 Tenth Avenue at 22nd Street.

Hanging from the ceiling, the windows, and clotheslines draped throughout the store, artist-made t-shirts will take over Printed Matter for one day only. Participants include a laundry list of today’s most exciting artists working on cotton: Maya Hayuk, Kayrock and Wolfy, Ryan McGinness, j.morrison, and Adam Shecter! All artists bring a unique sense of design and approach to the ever-expanding medium of artist-made t-shirts.

j.morrison along with a few helping hands will be printing t-shirts made-to-order all day long. Come by and choose your color, design, and size and watch while the magic happens—then walk away with your individually designed t-shirt.

T-shirts will vary in price from $20 to $100, and supplies will be limited to what is on hand, so come early! The sale begins at 12:00 and the party kicks in at 4:00 PM with Printed Matter’s house DJs and a raffle featuring one-of-a-kind t-shirts from the participating artists.
