"otr was started in a basement in olympia, washington on the first day of 1995. the idea was to concoct a way for arrington to perform his songs in a live setting. the three original members were bryce panic on drums, aaron hartman on upright bass and arrington de dionyso on guitar and various horns and pieces of trash. there was noise, improvisation, sweat, danger and something weirdly wholesome. there still is. we're recording our 7th album for k records, our third with calvin johnson. we like to make records. we like to play in front of you. we travel far because we love you."
