This is the third year that promoter Jody Peterman has brought a collection of some of the best tag teams in the world to Georgia to take part in his annual Old School Tag Team Tournament.

This is the first year that this prestigious event has been held in the town of Ellaville and we asked Mr. Peterman why this town was chosen and also his thoughts on some of the teams involved:

"The town of Ellaville was chosen due to the fact that I feel it is the hottest old school style wrestling town in the entire United States today. Anyone that is planning on coming to the tournament from out of town will feel like they are stepping into a time machine as this is a throwback type of crowd and a throwback type of event that will present old fashioned Southern style Pro Wrestling at its absolute finest. The fans of Ellaville come to see a fight and that's exactly what they are going to see as we have gone out and signed some of THE toughest tag teams in the entire world to compete in this tournament like The Dark City Fight Club from FIP in Florida, Ron Niemi's team of Double Deuce and Georgia favorite's Southside Trash. We also have perhaps the greatest tag team in the history of wrestling in former 4 time NWA World Tag Team Champions Ricky Morton and Robert Gibson - The Rock N Roll Express as well as another former NWA World Tag Team Championship team in Classy Chris and Vivacious Vito - The New Heavenly Bodies both teams are considered by many due to their vast experience to be the favorites to go to the finals of the tournament. Then there's a team that I personally do NOT get along very well with but again I can't deny their spot in the tournament is former AWA and FIP World Tag Team Champions The Heartbreak Express who are also former World 1 South Tag Team Champions and the men who went to the finals of the tournament last year. Lately they have been having violent and bloody battles in such places as Central America and all over the Island of Puerto Rico and they are coming into this year's tournament perhaps a tougher team then they have ever been before.

Then there are some dark horse teams that we have to talk about that I KNOW could easily beat anyone in this tournament and come out the winner. First is the team of Sensational Scott Davis and young Nick Fame. Now Scott Davis was one half of last year's tournament winning team along with his then partner Brad Thomas. Unfortunately Thomas was not able to make it this year so Davis was allowed to pick a replacement partner and he has chosen his young protégé Nick Fame who has turned many heads in the last year and is predicted by many to be a major future star. Then we have another team who did excellent in last year's tournament that is returning now and that is the team of The Lifeguards. These guys impressed everyone last year with their tag team excellence and they have gained valuable experience over the last year as they have become THE dominant tag team in one of the South's top wrestling organizations in Pro Wrestling FUSION and one of the top fan favorites at Pro Wrestling RIOT. Both of these promotions have seen a hot and bloody feud over the last year between the Lifeguards and The Heartbreak Express...will this feud spill over into this year's tournament???

The other team everyone needs to look out for is current D1PW Tag Team Champions, The Loggers. These guys are as unorthodox as they come and have been tearing things up all over Florida in promotions like GEAR, Pro Wrestling RIOT, Pro Wrestling FUSION and of course South Florida's D1PW where they are the reigning champions of an extremely competitive tag team division.

Everyone needs to make their plans now to be in Ellaville on November 8 as it is going to be a true old school southern style wrestling party that no one in attendance will soon forget!!!"
